Equipment and production technology

Ferroalloy castings

The core assortment is represented by a machine production of castings on the moulding lines, where we produce castings of up to 500 kg, accuracy category GTB 16. It is a production of moulds of single bentonite mixture by pressing, jolting and jolting with final pressing by a split pressing head. Moulding frame dimensions of our moulding lines are as follows:

These castings are produced by sand mould or gravity die-casting.

Production of cores

Cores are produced by the following methods: Hot-Box (max. 53 l), Cold-Box (max. 30 l), CO2 – Resol and Croning (max. 36 l).

Melting equipment for ferroalloys

  • Two cupola furnaces, Ø1,100, equipped with APCOS technology
  • One ABP electric induction furnace (2x4 t)
  • Two WSW ELIN electric induction furnaces (3x4 t)
  • Two electric arc furnaces (6 t)

  • Three SKLENAR chamber furnaces (0.7 t)
  • One GKL gas tilting crucible furnace (0.6 t)

Blasting and heat treatment

  • Painting by waterborne basecoat by dipping in painting lines

We arrange packaging and transportation of our products according to customers’ specifications.

  • Analysis of chemical composition by optical spectrometers (ARL, SPECTRO) and by an infrared analyzer (LECO)
  • Metallography

  • Acoustic tests – ultrasound
  • Tests by a method of eddy currents

  • Production of patterns and core boxes of metal, wood, resin and of combination of these materials
  • Production of metal ingot moulds and jigs

  • Simulation of casting and solidification of both ferroalloy and aluminium alloy castings, prediction of defects and critical spots of castings (MAGMASOFT)
  • CAD/CAM design and CNC programming (Solidworks and SURFCAM)
